Aaron Judge, a batter with the New York Yankees, has made history in Major League Baseball with a stunning display of power and skill. Judge became the fastest player in history to hit 300 home runs in his career on Wednesday, August 14, 2024.
An Ancient Homer
The historic home run was hit during the Yankees’ Chicago White Sox game. Judge cemented his record with a three-run home run off White Sox reliever Chad Kuhl in the eighth inning. In just 955 games, he broke Ralph Kiner’s previous record of 1,087 games to accomplish this achievement.
A Joyous Occasion
His teammates from the bench shouted in delight as Judge rounded the bases, realizing the gravity of his achievement. Cheers from his fellow Yankees met him as he reached home plate, adding to the festive scene. Judge shared his excitement in a post-game interview, saying, “It’s always fun to do something special, especially on a night when we win a ball game.”
A Recording Career
This momentous accomplishment raises Judge’s already stellar stature even higher. With an incredible 62 home runs in a single season in 2022, he set a record for the American League. In addition to being his 43rd of the current season, his 300th home run cemented his standing as one of the league’s best power hitters.
